Sous Chef Position – Japanese Cuisine

We are seeking a talented Lebanese Sous Chef with the ability to prepare sushi, or the willingness to learn sushi-making.

Job Responsibilities:
– Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation and kitchen management
– Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality food output
– Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain professional standards
– Develop new menu items and refine existing recipes
– Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

Required Qualifications:
– Lebanese nationality
– 2-3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role
– Knowledge of traditional Lebanese cuisine and some experience with sushi preparation
– Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
– Strong time management and organizational skills
– Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Compensation and Benefits:
– Salary starting at $500 per month, based on experience
– Flexible work schedule, 8 hours per day, 6 days per week
– Miziara location schedule: 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM with a 2-hour break, for 3-4 months during summer in a delivery-only kitchen
